Relay Protection and Numerical Setting
This presentation reviews the established principles and the advanced aspects of the selection and application of protective relays in the overall protection system, multifunctional numerical devices application for power distribution and industrial systems, and addresses. PSM and TMS settings that are Plug Setting Multiplier and Time Multiplier Setting are the settings of a relay used to specify its tripping limits. The selected protection principle affects the operating speed of the protection, which has a significant im-pact on the harm caused by short circuits. Protective relays and devices have been developed over 100 years ago to provide "lastline"of defense for the electrical systems. Each type, however, shares a similar architecture, thus enabling designers to build an entire system solution that is based on a relatively small number.
