Drilling holes in the SW distribution box
These are easy to use and don't pull the workpiece towards the drill so are safer than helical drill bits. The main function of the explosion-proof distribution box is to ensure the normal operation of electrical equipment in flammable and explosive environments and to prevent explosion accidents caused by electrical sparks. What tools do I use to drill clean holes in both the plastic and aluminum enclosures so that the cable glands fit snugly without any gaps? I tried searching for M20 drill bits and thread taping, but couldnt really find anything solid. Can I drill holes on side of electrical box or do I have to use the prefabbed holes? It seems like I've previously seen in the installation instructions information about installing drain holes in the bottom of the box for moisture/water to escape.
