OM4 is common for distances up to 150 meters in 100G SR4 applications, while OM5 (Wideband Multimode Fiber) is optimized for short-wave division multiplexing (SWDM). Most of the time, OM2 fiber was used for 1G Ethernet interconnection in distances up to 550 meters.
