The bridge is located on a road between Miragoane and Fond-des-Blancs, in Southwest Haiti. The bridge provides a critical and safe transportation link that allows year round access to two hospitals, multiple communities and schools in the area that typically have no access during periods of rain. A community in Port-au-Prince, Haiti called Carrefore Feulle is heavily populated and one of the poorest areas in the country. CAN-DO made regular water drops to this area, and returned again in December 2013 to check-in and do an assessment on their current needs.
