In computer networking, link aggregation is the combining (aggregating) of multiple network connections in parallel by any of several methods. The logical port provides increased resiliency, increased availability, and load sharing. Conceptually, it works the same as EtherChannel in that several Ethernet adapters are aggregated into a single virtual adapter, providing greater bandwidth and protection against failures.
